.CO Registrar Accreditation

Get accredited to sell .CO, an available inventory of global and credible domain names that are flexible to use and simple to remember. 

In an effort to increase strategic and regional partnerships and to stengthen the .CO brand,  the .CO Registry  will be expanding our Accredited Registrar base by accepting up to 20 additional Accredited Registrars through April 2012.  The process defined below depicts the procedure for accreditation to offer .CO domain names as an Accredited Registrar according with the principles defined by the Colombian ICT Ministry (Resolution 147 of 2011).  The Accreditation Process follows 3 simple phases: 

  1. Get Started
  2. Get Going
  3. Get Connected 

Registrars may also offer .CO domain names as a Reseller of one of the .CO Accredited Partners.  For information on becoming a Reseller of .CO domain names, please see our Reseller FAQs or contact Registrars@COinternet.co.   

Phase 1:  Get Started
This phase begins the Accreditation Process to sell .CO domain names from the Registry as an official .CO Accredited Registrar.  In order for you to offer .CO domain names as an Accredited Registrar the .CO Registry has implemented a Request for Proposal (RFP) Process.  Our goal is to identify the best strategic partnerships that will help to strengthen the .CO marketing position while establishing a transparent and reliable mechanism for accreditation. 

.CO Request for Proposal and Required Documentation

Phase 2:  Get Going
This phase continues the Accreditation Process, and commences upon approval of your proposal.  There are contractual, technical and marketing agreements that must be completed during this phase, which will be included in the .CO Registrar Welcome Pack sent to each approved Accredited Registrar candidate. 

Phase 3:  Get Connected
This phase concludes the Accreditation Process, and you are now able to offer the .CO extension to your customers as an official .CO Accredited Registrar.
