Are all.CO Accredited Registrars offering third level or IDN .CO domains?
I thought .CO only allowed for 30 Accredited Registrars through 2012. Why will it now appear to be that there may be more than 30 in the Registrar Listing?

How do I become a .CO Reseller?
You can become a .CO Reseller by partnering with a .CO Accredited Registrar.  Each .CO Accredited Registrar has its own policies for working with resellers.  We encourage you to reach out to the listed Accredited Registrars to discuss and negotiate the best fit to suit the needs of your business and your customers.   A list of the .CO Accredited Registrars may be found at www.cointernet.co/registrars/co-registrars.

.CO Resellers are still required to maintain the marketing standards of the .CO brand.  All resellers have the ability to access marketing materials and collateral through the .CO Resource Portal located at https://registrars.cointernet.co.

What is the difference between a .CO Reseller and .CO Accredited Registrar?
A .CO Reseller holds a contract with a .CO Accredited Registrar partner.  A .CO Accredited Registrar holds a contract directly with .CO Internet S.A.S.  Many resellers choose to sell .CO domains (or other domain name products) through an Accredited Registrar due to implementation, contractual, insurance or financial requirements, among others.  Although many resellers are not accredited directly with the registry, they are legitimate businesses to register domain names due to their contract with their Accredited Registrar partner.

What kinds of things should I consider when deciding which .CO Accredited Registrar partner to work with?
Each .CO Accredited Registrar has different features and benefits for working with resellers, and you will want to familiarize yourself with their respective product and service offerings.  You will also want to reach out to these partners to negotiate the terms that make the most sense for you and your business.

It is important to consider that not every Accredited Registrar is participating in all aspects of .CO domain name sales.  For example, only some of the Accredited Registrar partners are supporting third level sales of .com.co, .net.co and .nom.co on a global basis, in addition to second level .CO sales.  There are also factors such as Internationalized Domain Name sales to consider.  Please be sure that the partner you pick to work with will be supporting the needs of .CO domain name sales that are most important to your business and customers.

Are all.CO Accredited Registrars offering third level or IDN .CO domains?
No, not all .CO Accredited Registrars have incorporated third level .CO domains or Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) as part of their product and service offering.  Resellers may wish to consider this factor when deciding upon a .CO Accredited Registrar partner.

I thought .CO only allowed for 30 Accredited Registrars through 2012. Why will it now appear to be that there may be more than 30 in the Registrar Listing?
Due to governing policy as well as a measured effort to maintain the premium brand for .CO, the Registry will maintain a measured approach to the Accreditation Process.  This said, pursuant to the Administrator-Registrar Agreement (ARA), each Accredited Registrar has the right, but not the obligation, to share its accreditation among 3 wholly owned related entities, such that each of the entities can each take .CO domain name registrations and may be identified separately in the registrar field in the .CO WHOIS.
