You may have noticed the "lightbulb" theme in all of our marketing campaigns for the past several months. You can see an example of it on this billboard that we ran in SOHO in NYC a couple of months back.

So, you may be wondering, "hey .CO, what's up with the bulb? Actually, I might ask YOU the same thing!
.CO is the web address for launching great ideas online. And to us, the "bulb" represents all the big, bold, bright, inspiring and creative ideas out there in the world -- YOUR IDEAS!
Let's face it, we all have great ideas. But there's a very big difference between having a great idea -- and bringing your idea to life. Whether it comes to you in the shower, on the treadmill, or while driving in your car -- or it jolts you out of a deep sleep -- heart thumping, mind racing -- there's no mistaking the incredible, inspiring feeling you get when a great idea strikes!
But what happens next? Do you stuff your great idea away somewhere in the deepest recesses of your mind, too afraid or "too busy" to give it a go? Or do you charge full steam ahead, give it everything you've got -- stopping at nothing to bring your idea to life?
Sadly, most of us are guilty of letting our ideas go without even trying to do anything about them. And then, at some sad time in the future -- when we see someone else actually succeed with "our" idea to life we lament -- "I coulda/shoulda/woulda done that..." Now just rinse and repeat. Because the same sad cycle happens for most us over and over again -- great ideas wasted -- countless moments of divine inspiration just left to shrivel up and die.
Wow, sorry to be such a downer folks -- but it's a pretty painful reality. And I think we've all had just about enough of it!
So, what's under your bulb? What's the great idea you've been dreaming of bringing to life? Thanks to the marvelous wonderland known as the Internet -- there's never been a better time in history to get it going!
Need some extra inspiration? Please visit UnderTheBulb.CO and check out the fabulous stories of three .CO users who are living life "under the bulb" -- laying it all on the line to turn their big ideas into exciting new realities for themselves -- and the world! These are just three of the incredible, creative people building great things on the .CO domain.
The Under The Bulb digital short films tell the stories of:
Rana June Sobhany, who realized that she could create a fabulous career by mixing her passions for technology, business and music together -- and becoming the world's first "IPAD DJ"! (Learn more at www.Rana.CO);
Tony Bacigalupo, who saved himself from a life sentence as a cubicle monkey by becoming the founder and "Mayor" of New Work City, NYC's coolest co-working space where solopreneurs, freelancers, startups and independent workers from everywhere can come together to share space, resources and ideas. (Learn more at www.NWC.CO); and
Neil Mylet, a young farmer from Indiana who is working with a team of 20 interns to revolutionize the way mobile technology is used in agriculture -- and whose innovative technologies have captured the attention of some of the biggest agriculture companies in the world! (Learn more at www.LoadOut.CO).
Okay now that you're good and inspired to take action on the idea under your bulb, why not pay it forward?
To help you to inspire your friends, family members and colleagues to do the same, we have created three fun .CO e-cards you can send with warm, fuzzy, motivational messages that are intended to ignite your favorite people to take action -- like this one:
Okay, so maybe the e-cards are a little gruff -- but we're not here to coddle people folks!
Ideas are dying out there -- and it's our job to save them! So please, get that idea of yours off its ass -- and start living your life under the bulb! It's high time. Spread the word!
