I believe it was Warren Buffet who once said that "a company's growth is directly proportional to its ability to hire great talent to sustain that growth.” Well, we take that stuff very seriously around here.
You see, we have a slightly different take on "running a registry" -- industry jargon that defines what we do. Actually, we don't run a registry at all. That would be extremely boring and the type of people we hire would fall asleep at the wheel on their way to work. In fact, they wouldn't accept the job in the first place.
What we are doing here is much bigger than that. We are building a global brand -- a brand that is well on its way to becoming a significant portion of the fabric of the Internet.
To execute on that we need inspiration, we need to stand for something, we need to challenge the status quo. And we need great marketing talent. That is why I'm so happy to announce that we have a new Director of Marketing: Linda Koritkoski.
Linda brings a ton of advertising and marketing expertise to our team. Prior to joining .CO, she spent 12 years in Account Management and Operations at various advertising agencies, helping to build brands such as Clarks England, FedEx, Harvard Business Review, Network Solutions... and .CO! Linda was a key team member as Account Manager at Pappas Group during the launch of .CO in 2010 ...and we simply couldn't get enough.
Linda is now tasked with running every aspect of our consumer-facing marketing efforts, which means she does a lot. A whole lot! She manages our websites, events, sponsorships, media buys, and is now the first point of contact with external partners that impact our brand (agencies, PR, etc.). Internally, Linda interfaces with Lori Anne (our VP) on business development opportunities that tie into our marketing efforts, and she works closely with Crystal who is now solely responsible for our distribution efforts as our Director of Channel Marketing.
Welcome Linda! I wish I could tell the world what you have planned for us in 2012. But that would ruin all the fun – so I’ll just say, it’s going to be big year for .CO!
Linda – take it away!

Wow, thanks everyone for such a “warm” welcome! (Tough crowd!) Okay, so I apologize for not responding sooner to your comments – but cut me some slack, I’m new around here :) It's been a busy couple of months since joining the .CO team. We have been solidifying some big partnerships like the Founder Institute, 500 Startups, and a bunch of others I'm not at liberty to discuss yet. Rest assured there are lots of big things to come from .CO! On top of the cool partnerships in the works, you should know that we are growing at a breakneck speed -- monthly registrations are strong and growing, innovative sites are being launched every day and renewals are consistently high. We're building a business for the long term -- and, as you no doubt know, building businesses takes time, resources and patience… so thanks for your patience with me, and I promise to keep a closer eye on the blog post comments moving forward :)
PS> I'm surprised to hear you aren't seeing our media placements on ElliotsBlog, TheDomains, DNJournal, FragerFactor, DomainGang, and more. They are showing front-and-center for me!
You´re just too busy milking away until you can abandon ship, right?
Jesus, how about some presence? Ten years ago "interactivity" was big. Now where back to the good old monologue?
Maybe Ms Spindoctor should answer the previous comment?
Hi juan,
Please make some promotion of .co, update your website regularly etc.
.CO is dying now and I cannot look at this. I have not seen anything interesting for last about 2 month about co.
Even your banners from elliotsblog were removed.
People want to sell .co for cheap. Take a look at sedo males.co for 60usd at auction.
Maybe you have to find a big investor with money who put money into promotion as it seems you all do not have any serious money for promotion any more.
