I had the opportunity to travel to India in December with Geeks on a Plane, founded by 500Startups (500.CO).  We had a great experience traveling through the country by foot, by bus and by plane.  The noise, the scents and the managed chaos all brought to my realization that India is a truly vibrant and growing community.  The many startup entrepreneurs and venture capitalists that I met all bring to light the importance of the Internet to this community and I’m excited to be able to help grow and meet the online entrepreneurial sector.

.CO is proud to have an accredited domain partner there, Directi Internet Solutions, who in Mumbai, hosted the Geeks with an awesome treat by putting together a meet-up with some established and serial startup entrepreneurs.  However, before that, one of my truly favorite moments of the trip was racing through the streets of Mumbai, late to our own meet-up, while we dodged, turned and seemingly played a game of “Car Chicken” to get to our engagement.  While I burst into spontaneous nervous laughter, our driver calmly made sure we got to the hotel safe and sound – Indian style.  I gave a heartfelt “Thank you!” and look forward to another “race” soon.
