Thanks for visiting the .CO blog!  We're very excited about our upcoming global launch, which kicks off on April 26th with the Sunrise period for eligible trademark holders from around the world.  Sunrise will last through June 10th and then be followed by Landrush starting on June 21st. Landrush is the time for you to secure that perfect domain name "you’ve always wanted!” It's followed by General Availability on July 20th - when the doors swing wide open - and .CO domain names become available to the general public for the first time! 

The global launch of .CO will usher in a new era of the Internet -- where the domain name you get is based on what you really, truly want -- not just what's left over!

I’m Lori Anne Wardi -- and I consider myself to be one very lucky girl. I’ve had a diverse career path that somehow has placed me in the right place at the right time to serve as the Director of Marketing and Business Development for .CO Internet, on the eve of the historic global launch of the .CO domain.  I’m an attorney, consultant, entrepreneur, domain investor, trademark owner, and all-around Internet enthusiast who has spent the past ten years fully immersed in all things digital. It's astounding to consider all of the amazing things we've seen come to life on the Internet in the last decade.  But truly, my heart beats faster when I think about what lies just ahead -- and I imagine the new opportunities that .CO will create for individuals, organizations and companies worldwide.  But more on that later!

I’ll be writing and maintaining this blog, along with my team-mates, who will also contribute from time to time. Here's a quick introduction:

Juan Diego Calle is our visionary CEO.  Juan is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience in building and growing successful online (and offline) companies. He sold his first Internet company to Yahoo! - at the ripe old age of 27! 

Eduardo Santoyo is our Corporate VP and TLD manager. Eduardo works closely with the government, and global and regional bodies, such as ICANN and LACTLD, to make sure .CO remains on the forefront of Internet governance and policy matters.

Nicolai Bezsonoff is our genius COO.  He got his start working at one of those fancy, big shot consulting firms, then went on to become a senior executive at a world-leading, global bank (which is where he was when we snatched him away!)

And last, but certainly not least, is Crystal Peterson -- our Senior Marketing Manager. In addition to an illustrious career as professional dancer (seriously!) - Crystal helped to define and manage the marketing efforts for two leading domain registries prior to joining .CO Internet. She's fabulous!
