It has been a whirlwind over the past 30 days as we’ve met and networked with the domain community all over the world.  From Singapore to sunny Miami with a stop in Europe and a hurricane in between, we’ve been spreading the .CO mantra high and low.

Parallels APAC – In late September, we sponsored a cocktail reception at Brewerkz Brew House to a great crowd at Parallels APAC, which was held in Singapore.  With plenty of networking opportunities, an “Amazing Race” style activity at the Sentosa Resort and some great business sessions – this was a premier event that had a growth of more than 100% over the past year and about 300 attendees.

Web 2.0 Expo – For the second time this year, we were proud to sponsor Web 2.0 Expo.  First we sponsored, one of our very favorite events – Ignite!  During Ignite, people have five minutes to inspire the crowd and help to ignite a movement.  Lots of cool ideas were shared, and no doubt, some big movements were started!  We also sponsored the Startup Showcase, a pitch contest where innovative startups got to pitch their business plans to Tim O’Reilly, Fred Wilson and the Web 2.0 audience.  We awarded the winners, the team from hour.ly, a guest appearance and interview on This Week In.com, with Jason Calacanis.  Finally, the event came to a close with a .CO sponsored Tweetup and .COcktail party at the Sheraton in NYC – where we awarded one lucky winner an iPad! 

DOMAINfest Europe – What can I say, Oversee puts on a great event and did not disappoint for the Domainfest event in Prague.  With being able to shoot an AK47 rifle, drive a Go-Kart (sponsored by InterNetX and us!), drive all over the city in a Rally, and go a beautiful walk through Prague – we were networking with domain investors and industry big shots in high style.  Well done! 

DNCruise – Chef Patrick’s inaugural event was a breath of fresh air (as well as a threat of hurricane!) among some of the more established industry events.  With an intimate crowd of about 75– each attendee was able to meet and greet everyone.  With distinguished guests such as Michael Castello of CCIN.com, Rick Waters of WebCast 1, Inc., Dan Warner of Domain Advertising and Craig Snyder from Oversee, among other seasoned and newbie domain investors, everyone had a great opportunity to network, learn and grow their businesses.  A special keynote was given by 9-time Emmy Award winning producer David Sams and he rocked the house (or boat!) with a great and targeted inspirational message.

T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Miami – By the middle of October, we went on to sponsor Targetted Traffic in Miami Beach, the home of our flagship US office.  Attendees were treated to not 1, but 2 outstanding keynotes by Simon T. Bailey and the legendary Don King.  .CO sponsored a fabulous party (if I do say so myself) at the Villa by Barton G (formerly the Versace Mansion).  The next day, we were honored to win the Sponsor of the Year Award during the annual Awards Ceremony.   Thanks, everyone – we appreciate the kudos!  During the auction, there were several exciting 5 and 6 figure .CO sales – Coches.co for $15,000, BVI.co for $110,000 (as part of a 2-pack with BVI.com) and MZH.co (also as part of a package) for $15,000, among others. 

All in all, this month has been successful in informing not only our current community but the world at large that .CO is the global platform for opportunity online.  Whether that is as a developer, an investor or a company selling domains – you can bet that you will succeed with .CO!
